What a Local Expert actually does.
Most travel content is written by people who visited a place once and left. We are building something different — a layer of genuine, on-the-ground knowledge that feeds both our destination pages and Twinkle, our AI travel companion. Your insight is the difference between generic advice and something a traveller actually trusts.
Destination insight
Short written inputs on your area — where to stay by traveller type, what most visitors miss, when not to go, where to eat that no article mentions.
Short video snippets
60 to 90 second vertical videos — a neighbourhood, a market, a hidden viewpoint. Shot on a phone. Unscripted. Featured on destination pages and in itinerary documents.
Knowledge for Twinkle
Your local knowledge feeds Twinkle, our AI travel companion. When a traveller asks about your destination, your insight is what Twinkle draws on.
Itinerary review
A quick sense-check on draft itineraries before they go to travellers. You flag what is unrealistic, what is misrepresented, what should be included.

Our team reviews applications on a rolling basis. If your background matches a destination we are developing, we schedule a 20-minute call to understand your knowledge in depth.

Your name and expertise are published
Verified Local Experts are credited by name on destination pages, in itinerary documents, and in Twinkle when your destination is referenced.
